Rapper Ja Rule is the latest celebrity on his way to jail. J-Rod (Jayson Rodriguez) of MTV News tweeted as well as wrote a blog about “Ja Rule reaching a please deal with prosecutors in a Manhattan courtroom on Monday, December 13.” The rapper will serve two years.
The charges stem from a 2007 gun charge.
Ja Rule was pulled over the same day that Lil Wayne was pulled over for weapons charges. Lil Wayne has served his time and now it is time for Ja Rule to serve his.
“Minor setback for a major comeback,” Ja Rule tweeted.
What will the rapper be coming back to? He has been off the music scene for so long that his ripple in the pond fizzled out and others have step into the ranks he once filled.
Ja Rule will be formerly sentenced in February in the same courtoom that Lil Wayne was sentenced in.
