Andrew Gallo gets fifty-one years to life for killing L.A. Angel’s pitcher Nick Adenhart.
Gallo, 24 was drunk when he crashed into the victims (Nick Adenhart 22; Adenhart’s girlfriend, Courtney Stewart, 20; and their friend Henry Pearson, 25). His blood alcohol level was nearly three times the limit.
For this crime Gallo was convicted on three counts of second-degree murder in September, according to Orange County D.A.
The 24-year old apologized to the victim’s family before he was sentenced this morning for killing their loved one in a high-speed crash.
Prosecutors said they sought the maximum term for Andrew Gallo, 24, because the pitcher and two other people died in the crash and his blood-alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit. Gallo was on probation for a previous drink-driving offence at the time. (smh.com.au)
