Every year since 2004, the Calgary Spoken Word Festival promotes and celebrates spoken word in North America. This year, 37 artists will gather in Calgary and Banff for three weeks of verses, rhymes and rhythms.

Calgary (March 29-April 3, 2011)

  • Frontenac House − Calgary Quartet (March 29): Ron Charach (Toronto), Jim Nason (Toronto), Rosemary Griebel (Calgary), and Kirk Ramdath (Calgary)
  • ProArts Society – Insta-Translation (March 30): Sheri-D Wilson (Calgary), Victor LaGounda (Barcelona), Monica Caldeiro (Barcelona) and Élizabeth Robert (Montréal). Élizabeth Robert will present spontaneous, on-the-spot, poetic translations before your very eyes.
