You may remember Kimberley Johnson and her mother Ann Werner from “Days of Our Lives,” the popular daytime drama. Now, the two former actresses are partners in writing and co-owners of Ark Stories, a publishing house. It is my pleasure to feature them today.
Cendrine Marrouat: Hello Kimberley and Ann, thank you for answering my questions. First, tell us a little more about you.
Ann Werner: I grew up in Baltimore Maryland and moved to California in 1977. I guess you could say I’ve had a varied career path: I’ve worked as a bartender, a car salesperson, a copywriter — even did cemetery plot sales for a very short time. But I’ve also had a creative bent and have always loved to write.
Kimberley Johnson: I was born in Baltimore but left when I was just a kid. My dad was a network news cameraman and that led to me spending a school year in Moscow, Russia, which was a great experience. I’ve worked in the beauty industry and the chemical and oil industries, so I suppose one could call me multi-faceted.
